Mountain Dew is a citrus-flavored soft drink that was invented by Barney and Ally Hartman in 1940. According to its history, the drink’s inventors presented it to Coca Cola only to be turned down. Diet Coke – Released by The Coca Cola Company in 1982, the Diet Coke was the company’s response to the stigma on sodas that they’re full of sugar, which lead consumers to an unhealthy diet. First introduced in the 19th century by its inventor, American pharmacist John Pemberton, Coca Cola since then has gained prominence and fame. The brand has become synonymous to soft drinks and has become an icon for American culture.
